Discontentment stems from focusing what you don’t have.

Contentment stems from focusing on what you do have.

Truly healthy people choose what they focus on, planting seeds of either discontentment or contentment in their souls.

Guilt is to the soul what pain is to the body.

In the short term, it’s actually not a bad thing because it is notifying you that something shouldn’t be.

In the long term, it is crippling and debilitating.

Both are signals that something should not be. But the length of time is key.
