Truly healthy people are not grateful for conflict but rather see the value in what the conflict produces.

Your emotions follow your thinking.
If you want to change your emotions, change your thought life.

Over-achieving may not always be the most beneficial behavior.
Because the inability to deal with the discomfort of life drives a need to shut down the internal storm with external performance.
It’s an attempt to quiet a storm that’s raging inside. And the louder the storm, the more desperate the need for control.
Because the degree I feel out of control internally, I will work to control something externally.
