Feelings are great companions but terrible masters.

Steps are important.
Getting less than 5k / day is clinically sedentary.
Getting 8-10k / day is sufficient.
Getting 12k+ / day is ideal.
Why?
Because your body will ultimately burn more calories through NEAT movement (non-exercise activity thermogenesis) than during exercise.
