Truly Healthy Mindsets, Leadership & Following Jesus
Jan 19, 20231)
Truly healthy people have the following mindsets:
-
Inclusive, not exclusive. “I can eat x vs I can’t eat y.”
-
Addition, not subtraction. “I can add more vegetables vs I can’t have sugar”
-
Growth, not fixed. “I can learn vs I can’t take anything away.”
-
Flexible, not rigid. “I can adjust vs I can’t adapt.”
Positive mindsets start with “I can,” where negative ones start with “I can’t.”
Pay attention to your cans and can’ts.
2)
True health and leadership are connected.
The healthier you are, the better leader you’ll be.
This doesn’t necessarily mean your leadership skills will improve.
But it does mean you will pour from a full cup, rather than an empty one.
3)
Truly healthy people don’t just believe in Jesus.
They follow Jesus.
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow me.”
– Jesus in Matthew 16
