True health is marked by two keystone behaviors: moving away & moving towards.

Moving away from:

  • Processed foods

  • Unhealthy relationships

  • Selfish pursuits

  • Harmful ways of thinking

  • Sleep deprivation

  • Anything that discourages intimacy with Jesus

Moving towards:

  • Whole foods

  • Healthy relationships

  • Selfless pursuits

  • Helpful ways of thinking

  • Sufficient sleep

  • Anything that encourages intimacy with Jesus

Truly healthy people don’t pray for joy, patience or self-control.

Instead, they pray to “set their minds on the Spirit.” (Romans 8)

Because the byproduct of living in the Spirit are His fruits: joy, patience, self-control. (Galatians 5).

 

 

 

3)

When you rest properly, you are not paying a tax on your health.

You are investing in it.
