How To Spend Time With Jesus, Denial & Health Is Not a Number

A keystone habit is something that has a disproportionate impact on everything else. Think of it as the first domino to fall in a chain of other dominos.
One example is exercise. This makes you want to get ample sleep & prioritize whole/clean/real foods.
Another important keystone habit (that doesn't get enough attention) is spending time with Jesus each morning. This impacts your mood, self-esteem, identity, worldview, stress levels, relationships, and meaning in life.
Here are some practical tips that may help you prioritize your time with Jesus:
- Schedule it in your calendar
- Find a consistent place (i.e. the same chair each morning)
- Don't rush it
- Be present to the moment
- Expect disruptions & distractions (these are opportunities to come back to God)
- Get a good night's sleep before
- Start where you are, not where you should be

Whatever we refuse to acknowledge about ourselves grows in power.

Health is not a number.
- It is not the number on the scale.
- It is not how many steps you take per day.
- It is not your hours of sleep last night.
- It is not how many minutes you spent in prayer.
Health cannot be quantified on a numeric scale. While these metrics provide insight & value into a specific area of health, they do not sum up health in its entirety.
