1)

If you want the life of Jesus, you must adopt the lifestyle of Jesus.

If you want Jesus #1 in your world, you must adopt his worldview.

If you want to experience the kingdom of heaven, you must proclaim Jesus as king.

2)

Don’t let criticism, both external and internal, distract you from pursuing a truly healthy lifestyle.

3)

Here are some facts about strength training:

Misconception // Truth

  • "It takes up too much time." // A sufficient training session can be accomplished in 20-30 minutes.
  • "It's optional." // You lose muscle mass & bone density as you age. You need a means to improve musculoskeletal health.
  • "No pain, no gain." // Soreness does not equal effectiveness with strength training.
  • "I don't want to get bulky." // Bulkiness comes more from nutrition, not strength training.
  • "It's dangerous." // With proper form & movement education, you can severely reduce the risk of injury.

Here are some facts about cardio:

Misconception // Truth

  • "I need to do cardio to lose weight." // You need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight, which can be more effectively accomplished through NEAT movement & proper nutrition.
  • "I hate running." // God designed our bodies to move ... find a means of cardio you enjoy: biking, rowing, circuit training, etc.
  • "Running long distances burns fat." // While true, many people never reach this point. A varied form of exercise (with strength training) & proper nutrition is a better strategy.
  • "I don't want to sweat." // Sweating is your body's mechanism for regulating body heat. The quicker you sweat, the healthier you are.
  • "I don't have to do cardio." // Cardio has been shown to improve heart, lung & brain health. If you want to steward your health well, you need to steward every area.
