Life is deeply broken and deeply beautiful at the same time.
Truly healthy people are able to hold both realities together at the same time.

Hungarian author Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi stated, "The unaided mind tends towards chaos."
Just like physical entropy (gradual decline into disorder), there is psychological entropy. The mind will naturally gravitate towards unhealth: lies, anger, anxiety, bitterness, stress, contempt. This is why it's vital to set your mind on truth. Everyday.
Here are a few tips to help:
- Give God your first & last thoughts of each day
- Limit social media time
- Carefully discern what shows to watch
- Recognize untrue narratives in your head
- Pay attention to physical symptoms (tight chest, increased heart rate)
- Remind yourself of your God-given identity ("I am a loved son/daughter")

My exercise strategy for the last 10 years . . .
"I lift something heavy & get out of breath."
That's it.
