Emotion, Eating What's In Sight & Busyness

emotional health habit habit #2: eat clean habit #4: increase clarity habit #5: decrease stress physical health Dec 29, 2022

1)

You cannot selectively numb emotion.

When you numb shame, guilt and fear, you also numb joy, gratitude and happiness.

2)

Many people eat food not based on what they are but where they are.

  • In the pantry, the snacks at eye level get eaten first.

  • In the refrigerator, the easily spotted fruit gets grabbed first.

  • In the grocery store, the treats at the endcap get bought first.

The truth is many actions we take are shaped not by purposeful drive but by the most obvious option.

The takeaway?

A small change in what you see can lead to a big shift in what you do.

3)

Busyness is not a badge of honor.

It’s a sign of unhealth.

Take this week to recognize the value of a slower pace.
