1)

Everything worthwhile is uphill

Everything worthwhile takes time.

Be patient.

2)

Culture's view of looking at food:

  • How many calories is this?
  • Is this "good" or "bad" for me?
  • When will this food go bad? (shelf life)
  • How much cardio do I need to do to burn this off?
  • What foods do I need to avoid?

True health's view of looking at food:

  • Is this a nutrient dense food?
  • How beneficial is this? Physically AND relationally, emotionally, etc?
  • What will this food do to my body?
  • Is this stewarding God's temple well?
  • What foods do I need to add?

3)

Myth: My inner world will be filled with more peace & joy once my external world is perfect.

Truth: My external world will never be perfect. True peace & joy, that transcends circumstances, only comes from intimacy & alignment with Jesus.
